What this site is, and what a booking means.
This text is a draft and has not yet been reviewed by the management. It is published so that the site is complete, not because it is final.
This site
Everything published here describes the mansion as it is. The photographs are Sekeria’s own. We correct whatever we find to be wrong, but we cannot promise that the site is free of error at every moment.
Bookings
A booking is made through the booking engine this site links to, or by writing to us directly. It counts as confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from us, not when a form is submitted.
Rates and cancellations
The rates, deposits and cancellation terms are the ones shown at the moment of booking and written in your confirmation. Those govern your stay; nothing on this site overrides them.
Check in and check out
Check in is from 15:00 and check out by 11:00. An earlier arrival or a later departure can often be arranged in advance, if the mansion is able to offer it.
The mansion
Sekeria is a listed nineteenth-century building. The upper floors are reached by stairs. Tell us before you book if that matters to you, and we will tell you honestly what the mansion can do.
Gallery
The photographs of the mansion, the courtyard and the suites are our own. The photographs of the city on the Heraklion page come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under licences that permit commercial use: the Koules, Knossos, the Archaeological Museum and the Venetian walls under CC0 (Jebulon, C messier). Under CC BY-SA, with credit to their authors: the Venetian harbour (Stu’s Images), the Morosini Fountain (Moonik), the Loggia and the roofs of the old town (C messier), the Historical Museum of Crete (Tomisti), the olive groves (Dietmar Rabich).
Governing law
These terms are governed by Greek law, and the courts of Heraklion have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
