The building was raised in the 1880s as a home, and its plan has barely changed since. Six suites came out of the rooms that could be converted without touching its structure.
Each one differs in size, aspect and layout. What they share are the high ceilings and the original architecture of the house.
All the suites are on the upper floor of a single building. There are none at ground level.

Turned inward
A konaki was never built for the view. It was built around its courtyard, closed to the street, with the light falling from above and life gathering at the centre.
The same holds today. What is worth seeing is inside: the painted ceilings, the tall rooms, the courtyard with its fountain.
The city is a few steps beyond the door, whenever you want it.
In every suite
Every suite is soundproofed and has its own air conditioning and heating.
The private bathroom comes with robes, slippers, towels and a selection of toiletries.
You will also find a coffee machine and kettle with coffee and tea, a mini bar, a safe, a wardrobe, ironing facilities, a flat-screen television and a socket beside the bed. The beds are over two metres long.
Free Wi-Fi throughout the mansion, courtyard included.
Adults only
The building is listed, with timber floors, an old staircase and six suites around a shared courtyard. The quiet is part of what you come for.
For that reason we welcome guests aged 12 and over. We do not have cots or extra beds.
Each suite sleeps two. For larger parties we suggest combining two suites.
We are not able to accommodate pets.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served daily from 07:00 to 10:30, as a buffet in the courtyard, with Cretan produce, fresh bread, traditional Greek coffee and espresso. It is included in every stay.
In the evening the courtyard becomes a wine bar, with Greek and Cretan labels. Room service is available.

Hammam
The historic hammam of the mansion, on the ground floor beside the old kitchen, is working again. A room for massage and treatments has been made next to it.

Apokoronou Street is a pedestrian lane two and a half metres wide, and the mansion sits at the back of the plot, behind the courtyard. Every suite is soundproofed.
